TESTIMONIAL

“Not only did Chris Jenkins of Hendersonville Farm help me to build my chicken coop, but I also bought several hens from him. They were all healthy at 8 weeks old and Chris even continued to give me advice on feed and answer all questions I had. He was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely buy from Hendersonville Farm again!”

About Ayam Cemani Chickens

We specialize in the rare Ayam Cemani chicken breed. Our goal every year is to improve our flock! They are entirely all black in color from feathers, to their beak, and even their internal organs and bones! Ayam Cemani chickens have a dominant gene that causes the hyperpigmentation making them all black. The chicken breed originated from the island of Java in Indonesia and was used for religious and mystical purposes since the 12th century. Aram Cemani chickens are egg layers (their eggs are a light brown color) and are a great conversation piece!

We currently have 4-week-old pullets: Production Reds, Easter Eggers, Golden Laced Wyandotte’s

2-week-old pullets: Isa Brown, Production Reds

3-day-old: Olive Eggers, Black Australorps, Rhode Island Blue, Ayam Cemani
